RGVAerial as a safe space
RGVAerial prides itself in fostering a healthy, supportive, and friendly environment where students will feel safe learning and practicing. We'd like people from all walks of life to feel welcomed into our space and feel zero judgement from other students and staff.
RGVAerial does not tolerate harassment of any kind to students or staff. If you've ever felt uncomfortable in an RGVAerial class or event due to someone else's behavior towards you, we encourage you to come forward and report said incident. If you are someone that is part of our community and you are feeling harassed, or someone from our community is harassing you, please email rgvaerialists@gmail.com and we would be happy to follow up with said incident and take action to help prevent further issues. Anyone who reports an incident can rest assure that their privacy will be protected and that RGVAerial promises to handle the case with care and professionalism.
Violating our anti-harassment rules can lead to removal from classes and, in some cases, a permanent ban from interactions with our community and our space.
Rules of conduct
RGVAerial does not tolerate the following behaviors:

Harassment, bullying, or intimidation, including repeated unwanted contact, stalking, threats, or attempts to make someone feel unsafe.

Unwelcome sexual attention or sexual harassment, including inappropriate comments, advances, gestures, or messages.

Unwanted physical contact, including touching, grabbing, adjusting someone's body, or attempting to spot them without their consent.

Discrimination or hateful behavior based on race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, religion, body size, physical appearance, or any other personal characteristic.

Body shaming, fatphobia, slut-shaming, or comments about someone's appearance, abilities, or body that are demeaning or unwelcome.

Offensive, degrading, or discriminatory language, including slurs, derogatory jokes, and comments disguised as humor.

Taking, sharing, or posting photos or videos of someone without their permission, including recording during classes or open studio without authorization.

Violating someone's personal boundaries, including continuing unwanted conversations, advances, or physical contact after being asked to stop.

Attending or participating in studio activities while under the influence of alcohol or drugs in a way that compromises safety, judgment, or the safety of others.

Unsafe, aggressive, or disruptive behavior that puts other students, instructors, or staff at risk or interferes with their ability to participate comfortably.
These expectations apply to all students, instructors, staff, guests, and visitors, regardless of membership status or length of time in our community.
